Complete loss of dentition on the top or bottom jaw is a very traumatic experience which causes difficulties in chewing, speech, appearance of an individual. The missing teeth also causes TMJ problems as well as pain in ear and neck. One way to alleviate the problems associated with complete loss of dentition is to get a removable complete denture.

Many patients choose removable complete dentures to restore their smile and the shape of their face. A full set of removable complete dentures can be created in a relatively short period of time that replace all of a patient’s natural teeth. The complete removable dentures are custom made which helps them to stay in place and helps alleviate the need for denture adhesives.

The process of fabrication of removable complete dentures is a multiple step appointment requiring multiple appointments for proper fit. Sometimes a few adjustments will need to be made after the complete removable dentures are given to relieve sore spots.

At Carrollton Smiles, Dr. Sirisha Bhandaru recommends the removal of your complete dentures every night and placed in the case provided. The nightly removal of the complete dentures is needed so that the gums can rest and do not form ulcers and get fungal infections. Brush your removable complete dentures with a soft toothbrush to clean them. Your general dentist will recommend to soak the complete removable dentures in denture cleaning tablets to get rid of protein deposits. Do not soak these dentures in alcohol containing mouthwash or put them in the dish washer.
